Despite the negative comments, don't believe all of them. Buy a can at the local grocery store before you commit to 12 cans and seen for yourself. I love to heat this soup up and add some chopped up chicken breast or whatever meat is hanging around my fridge at the moment. The soup is nicely balanced and healthy.

My god, I am generally no fan of canned food of any type, but being a horrific cook and having little or no time, without checking it prior, I decided to try this black bean soup, otherwise one of my favorite dishes when it's done properly; but this watered down gibberish is so tasteless that I'd gave up on it after three or four spoonfuls...Organic and vegan or even vegetarian doesn't have to mean 'tasteless' or at least it shouldn't be defined/perceived as such. Even crazy vegans deserve a heartier stew!
