French Gherkins in Vinegar - Authentic Cornichons
You'll love these tiny and flavorful gherkins. Gherkins are a type of cucumber, picked while unripe and then pickled in vinegar. You'll recognize them as what we refer to in America as sweet dill pickles. Delightfully crunchy and salty, they can be eaten as a snack, side dish, or used as a condiment, typically paired with cold meats, boiled dishes, terrines, or as an ingredient for sauces. These little cornichons (little horns), are masterfully prepared in France by Maitre Provi. Refrigerate after opening and serve chilled.
