The Limoneira Company was founded over 113 years ago in Santa Paula, California. Limoneira (a Portuguese word meaning the place of the lemon) began to grow citrus in the rich fertile soil in the Santa Clara Valley adjacent to the Pacific Ocean. The perfect climate along with the introduction of unique production techniques enabled the production of delicious products which were shipped to the Midwest and East Coast. Limoneira was one of the original growers for the cooperative which became known as Sunkist and we continue to provide citrus to Sunkist today. Limoneira is also one of the world's largest avocado suppliers and our products are shipped around the globe.
