1998 Aged 100 Liang Tea Leaves - Vintage Pu-erh Teas
This Aged 100 Liang Tea was tightly compressed then encased in bamboo leaves when it was harvested in 1998. The tea leaves have been aging ever since, and they will only get better as time passes. The entire bamboo log full of tea leaves weighs about 8 pounds. Also known as Flower Tea, the Aged 100 Liang Tea log looks like a blooming flower when it is opened and the tea leaves are extracted. The tea leaves are large, and turn a rich brown color when seeped. The tea itself looks like a green tea, although it consists of high grade leaves that are picked from plants that are know for their black tea. The brew is cool and thirst quenching in the summertime, yet helps with cold resistance and warming bellies in the winter. Grown in the cold Xuefeng mountains and Anhua mountains, this Flower Tea is from the Hunan Province of China. The leaves will mellow with age, and if you drink this tea, you will mellow with age too!
