Stash Premium Darjeeling Spring Tea, Tea Bags, 18-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
*****
Stash's new "Stash Teas of India" are refreshing and different for Stash---each one is unique, and Darjeeling Spring is no exception. The only ingredient is Darjeeling first flush black tea leaves, and it is a truly complex and tasty tea. It tastes wonderfully black and needs nothing at all to be added for a great tea experience. This tea contains caffeine, and is a strong, distinctive, high-quality and refreshing tea.

Stash also makes a Darjeeling Summer Black Tea, which is a second flush black tea (as opposed to a first flush as this one is). I had to look up what the difference was between the two, because I could tell that they tasted slightly differently, but I loved both, and really couldn't figure out what the actual difference was. On a tea forum, a member from India wrote: "Flush refers to the four separate plucking seasons throughout the year, each known for its distinctive flavor - First Flush (March-April), Second Flush (May-June), Monsoon Flush (July-September), and Autumnal Flush (October-November). First Flush leaves are tender and very light green in appearance, whereas, the second flush leaf has a purplish bloom. The First Flush liquor is light, clear, and bright with a pleasant brisk flavor. But the Second Flush liquor is round and mellow with more amber color and a slightly fruity flavor. In Second Flush Tea the "Muscatel" flavor for which Darjeeling is known becomes pronounced."

Recommendeda true step up for Stash!
*****

The Golden Darjeeling I bought before was better in terms of both aroma and aftertaste.
