I have sampled many teas in my day. I usually stick with English black tea varieties, and usually, I hew towards the Earl Greys and English Breakfasts. Sometimes, I chill with a Darjeeling, but my passion runs for the stronger blends. So much more flavor than coffee, with almost the same kick! Plus antioxidants, right? ;-) <br /> <br />A while ago, a coworker who's even more passionate about his Bergamont than I am visited a local shop that sells tea near his home in Buffalo. This was his discovery, and I was so extremely happy he tossed a muslin tea bag my way. <br /> <br />The primary thrust of the tea is a rich black, along the lines of an Lady Grey, but the high aroma of citrus works through the tea, thanks to the grapefruit rinds mixed in with the tea. The tea also has a chai element, with some masala spices with a bit of vanilla. <br /> <br />I have fallen absolutely in love with this tea, and have foisted my "lesser" teas off on all of my friends. Every time I lift the tin lid, I feel a moment of peace and tranquility while basking in the rich aroma of the tea, which will soon become a rich taste. <br /> <br />On a personal note, our Saturday morning cuppas tend to be blends that we like with some milk added. This blend doesn't take too well to milk. You might like it, but we prefer our Prince Wladmir straight up. <br />

The first time I bought this tea I decided the price was "worth it" because I could use the handsome tin for all sorts of things later. So I did, so I do, but nevermind that....I'm hooked on this extraordinary tea! For the pleasure it gives, the marvelous scent when you lift the lid, the even more marvelous aroma while it brews, and the always-bright and very satisfying flavor, this stuff is the bomb! I like it with a little milk and a little demerara sugar. Treat yourself by all means, but don't say you weren't warned if you find yourself buying tin after tin!
